Professor Chee Wong

Chair of Supply Chain Management - Leeds University Business School

Chee Wong is a professor of supply chain management from Leeds University Business School. He has more than nine years of managerial and consultancy experience in operations, purchasing, production, inventory and distribution management and supply chain implementation at several multinational companies specialised in beverage, retail, consumer goods, toys, engineering, metal production, and polymer distribution.

Some of the consultancy projects he delivered include ERP (SAP) implementation, 3PL outsourcing, global sourcing, distribution warehouse centralisation, collaborative forecast, planning and replenishment (CPFR), and supply chain operating models.

Chee’s research interests include sustainable supply chain management, supply chain integration, collaboration, information sharing, global and ethical sourcing, and operations strategy. He teaches logistics, supply chain and operations management at undergraduate, MSc, MBA, and PhD levels. He also delivers customised supply chain management training for supply chain executives and managers. He is the co-author of a book called “Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management” (Kogan Page).

At Leeds University, Chee runs the Leeds MSc Global Supply Chain Management programme. He is the director of the Centre for Operations and Supply Chain Research (COSCR), and the head of the Logistics, Information, Operations and Networks Subject Group within the Management Division. He has delivered keynote speeches and workshops at several supply chain practitioner conferences. He delivers customised executive education programmes for operations and supply chain managers. He chairs the Supply Chain Council at Leeds University - a networking forum supply chain executives and researchers.
